Dune Tunes

A sea of gold,
Spread over a stretch,
Far beyond the eyes reach
Slender and tall palm trees,
With green crown and dates,
Is waiting for it’s date.
A lonely cactus is yearning
For a companion,
In a land, that’s barren.
Far away in the horizon,
The camels walk in stride,
With their humps held up in pride.
A weary bunch of travelers,
In search of an oasis,
Were tricked by the mirages.
The cerise, evening sky,
And the gentle, cool breeze,
Made the dunes feel at ease.
