She is Sea

Life originated from her,

Say the mythologies.

She is the mother to all,

Including you and me.

She was the path,

Taken by Magellan and Gama,

As they set out to explore the world.

She stayed calm

When battles were fought over her

And housed treasures and secrets,

Deep within her soul.

Mankind oft mistook her calmness

And paid the price

As she turned into a Tsunami.

Still revered and respected

By the fishermen at sea,

They seek her permission,

Before setting out you see.

She is indeed the benevolent mother,

Who cares and chides,

Well, that depends on how we behave.
