Kirti V

An IT Professional turned teacher who loved to write took to serious writing during the 2020 pandemic. I prefer writing poems but have written some short stories as well. A voracious reader, linguist, an avid quizzer, music and sports lover, self proclaimed coffee addict and foodie that I am, my creations also reflect the same. Have contributed to some anthologies and look forward to publish my own sometime. Kirti's Signature is the foundation for that.. Happy to share my work with you all through this website. It contains poems, stories, mini bytes (pocket poems and pocket stories), reviews and a glimpse of my published work!! The website will also feature the different types of poetry forms with the explanations and sample poems written on the same.

Chekavars

The heroes of the Vadakkan Pattu,  Known for their valor and strength,  Exponents of Kalaripayattu they were,  Called the Chekavar clan.  Hired by the small rulers Of Kolathunadu and Kadathanadu,  To fight and die for them,  The chekavars were real warriors.  Thacholi...

The Secret Mantra

Oft I wonder,  How do children manage to be happy?  They cry and weep,  But that's short lived.  They smile and laugh their hearts out,  Oblivious of their surroundings.  What's the secret mantra I thought,  And slowly drifted to sleep.  Heard a...

Dolce far niente

In this bustling life,  Where we join the rat race,  And run like a deer There are days,  When I just feel,  To be dolce far niente,  Like the hare during the race.  The joy of being idle, Is equal to bliss.  Oh!...

The Golden Canopy

The bright canvas of nature,  Decorated well with the golden marigolds,  Against the azure skyline.  Swaying their way through the gentle breeze.  Oh! What a treat to the eyes.  Do I have a choice,  To silently tiptoe,  And be amidst this...
