Kirti V

An IT Professional turned teacher who loved to write took to serious writing during the 2020 pandemic. I prefer writing poems but have written some short stories as well. A voracious reader, linguist, an avid quizzer, music and sports lover, self proclaimed coffee addict and foodie that I am, my creations also reflect the same. Have contributed to some anthologies and look forward to publish my own sometime. Kirti's Signature is the foundation for that.. Happy to share my work with you all through this website. It contains poems, stories, mini bytes (pocket poems and pocket stories), reviews and a glimpse of my published work!! The website will also feature the different types of poetry forms with the explanations and sample poems written on the same.

Togetherness

Amidst fading trees walking hand in hand with you is indeed a bliss.    Just like our pure love, colours compliment the sky and the crowning leaves.   Warmth of your touch is like the breeze that caresses branches in winter.    Nature rejoices our divine union...

The Other Side

Mocked I was for my colour,  My race and my hair texture.  My diction was made fun of,  Making me feel small in front of the world.    I withdrew into self,  Became quieter to the core.  Introspection helped a lot,  As...

Word-e-scape

Life ain't a bed of roses for all,  As thorns lay sharp for some.  So was it for this little one,  Who was confused with his identity.    To the world he was a 'HE',  To himself, he was a...

Mother’s Love

She smiled silently, As wholeheartedly she cooked But for whom, you know?   Maybe her parents Or, wait, for her dearest friends? Or her spouse who's tired?   No, her smile speaks more Of contentment and pure bliss Of feeding someone   Who's a part of...

Kuttanadan Punchayile

The wood to carve you,  Is chosen after high scrutiny.  It's worshiped before being chopped,  To give the majestic shape that you carry.    You're treated next to God,  Revered and respected by all.  The villagers that owns you,  Love you like...
