An Unfulfilled Childhood

-

Those big bright eyes,

Looked so spirited and high.

They shone with confidence,

Grit and perseverance.

The kohl laid eyes did hide,

Something so deep and wide.

From the world and near ones,

As they couldn’t guess even once.

Those eyes, so bright,

Had many desires that never saw the light.

A childhood that she dreamt of,

Oh! Was stripped and taken off.

She was responsible for her siblings,

They were her life and savings.

She worked hard for them,

As their future was in her helm.

In pursuit of their happiness,

Her life became monotonous,

Never did she bother.
