She was called barren,

As couldn’t birth any child.

She went on to become a mother,

To thousands of children later.

She didn’t shed a tear,

Nor did she deter,

After being called names,

And shunned by society, as a shame.

She saw the green sapling,

Emerging from the womb of the mother.

That struck her like a lightening,

And she decided to bear life.

Bearing a child was impossible for her,

Hence she planted saplings.

Greenery, was thus restored,

Reflecting prosperity and richness.

She is respected even by the tallest trees,

And they respond to her like a dutiful child.

Right called the ‘Tree Woman’

Salumarada Thimakka, is indeed synonymous with greenery.
