Sobs woke the little girl,
Perturbed, she followed the sound.
She overheard a conversation,
That would change her mindset forever.
A book and a pen were in deep thoughts,
The book sobbed.and said,
Hey friend, my dear pen,
Now no child wants buy a book and read.
They are just glued on their devices,
Oblivious of their surroundings.
They no longer caress me with their fingers
Nor their breath cools me.
The pen nodded in unison,
They seldom touch me too.
Technology has killed their writing,
Like how it killed us too.
The girl who heard that, sobbed now,
Thinking about her grave mistake.
She resolved to stay away from gadgets
And embrace a book and pen instead.
