Breaking the Shackles

Chirpy and active she was,

Well, that’s what people thought.

Or rather, that’s what she wanted,

The mortals around to see

She was stuck neck deep,

In the sea of customs and traditions.

She did like them,

But something bothered her.

She felt different

And wanted to explore that.

But, entangled with the ties of family,

She just kept swimming to stay afloat.

She knew that her dreams,

Were just a leap away.

She waited like a whale,

For the right time to make the jump.

She swam and swam,

And then gave the final jump,

Breaking all the shackles,

And became HE.
