When he sang Ilaya Nila,
The moon was ready to come to the earth.
His Valaiyosai and Malare Mounama,
Became the most sought-after love songs.
His Panivizhum Malarvanam,
Brought out his joyfulness and charm.
When he sang Kaadhal Rojave,
We all cried with him
His songs stirred emotions
And tugged hard at the soul.
His voice liberated us of our pains
Filled our hearts with happiness and solace.
His playful banter in his songs,
Felt very natural and close to heart.
When he sang, it felt like his soul singing to us,
To soothe and cajole us,
And to uplift our moods.
He might have ceased to exist,
But his innumerable songs keep him alive.
He will continue to live with us now and forever.
