He was smart, intelligent
And filled with charm.
He had an aura
That could make one feel warm.
He spoke sense
And made one feel at ease.
Seldom, did he know,
That, he ushered in peace.
He made us think and read
And taught us to write.
To make us shine,
Like the stars, so bright.
I met him, decades later
And he was still brimming with love.
I handed him a book, that read,
“To Sir, With Love”.
He smiled, as he held the book
And his chest swelled with pride.
As he saw his little student,
Walk with head held high and, in stride.
