Udhagamandalam

Nilgiris, covered in nature’s veil,

So majestic and beautiful.

Royal it looks just like the queen,

Adorned with greenery and white crown.

Chirping of birds and cricket

Echoes through the lofty peaks,

Air so fresh and soothing,

Makes me feel young as it kisses my cheeks.

Is this for real? I wonder,

Can a place this serene exist?

Is this what we call heaven?

Can someone tell me please.

Udhagamandalam or Ooty,

Aptly called the Queen of Hill Stations,

Cradles me on nature’s lap,

Comforting and cajoling just like a mother.
