With the arrival of video games, 

We forgot the games on mud. 

With the arrival of phones, 

We forgot to write letters. 

With the arrival of mobiles, 

We forgot the phone numbers. 

With the arrival of computers,

We forgot about pen and paper. 

With the arrival of kindle, 

We forgot the smell of fresh paper. 

With the arrival of social media, 

We forgot to smile and greet others. 

With the arrival of WhatsApp, 

We even forgot how to talk. 

As I type these lines, 

I wonder aloud, “Have I forgotten to write”? 

As I type this poem, 

I wondered about the likes I might get

And forgot the reason why I wrote this.
