Expectations

-

The creases on the forehead,

And the twitched brow,

Show us the weight of expectations that we bear.

The weight of expectations,

Is equally proportional,

To the growth of a mortal.

They keep rising,

And pulling us down,

Just like the Earth’s gravity.

The more higher we go,

We get pulled down,

At an equivalent speed.

It starts from home,

Then moves to school,

And becomes a forever part throughout.

Expectations can bring a man down,

Expectations can motivate him to aim higher too.

Expectations, unpredictable throughout.
