Special Day

“Birthdays oh! Birthdays,

Why do they come?

Apart from eating cakes,

What’s the fun?

I grow older by a year,

Oh! I don’t want that my dear!”

Cried little Tom to his mother.

Mother dear laughed and said,

“Oh! I love birthdays, my son.

I grow older, but not every year,

Once in four years instead.

I celebrate in a grand manner,

With party pops and banners.

I enjoy my birthday dear son,

As it falls in the Leap Year!!”
