Just a day to celebrate,

The hours spent in taking care 

Of a human within her and outside too? 

Just a day to celebrate, 

The pain that almost

Costed her life, as she brought a life to light? 

Just a day to celebrate, 

The decibels that oft

Made her ears whine? 

Just a day to celebrate,

The sleepless nights

And tiresome days? 

Just a day to celebrate,

The unconditional love 

That she showers on her kids? 

Just a day to celebrate

The person who brought us 

To this world? 

Just a day to celebrate

A mother is not enough. 

Celebrate her today and every day.
