Fighter Hearts

Raging with anger,

Their hearts pounded fast,

At the sight of the perpetrators,

Who harmed their cosy nest.

They, the builders of the nest,

Couldn’t see the strands fall apart.

Their hearts ached,

But, the fight, they continued.

The sight of their children,

Calmed them down,

Their hearts, blinded with affection,

Churned out the pearls, who grew under them.

The concrete that they guarded,

Wasn’t just a building,

But a home to the homeless,

And the love in there, vast than the mighty sea.
