Terracotta Men

In the quest of immortality,

A palace was built,

To live after death.

It started when the emperor,

Was just in his teens

Oh dear!

Twenty square miles it was,

Where the tomb was built,

It was no less than the palace, where he lived.

Alongside the amenities,

They built human figures,

To guard the tomb.

It took seven hundred thousand men

And two score years,

For the terracotta army to form.

None looked the same,

I wonder how they were made,

So unique and different.

Rightly called the spirit soldiers,

The terracotta men,

Did guard Emperor Qin.
